Fizana is a car seat for small dogs: a kind of padded basket with firm sides that sits on the car seat and is held in place with straps. Your dog gets a spot of its own, a little higher than the seat, where it can lie down or look out of the window, and the upholstery is kept safe from hair, mud and claws. It is a comfort seat: to travel with your dog secured, you also need a suitable harness.
A booster seat for dogs that like to look out of the window
Many small dogs sitting on the car seat see nothing but the seatback in front. With the booster they sit at window height and can look outside or curl up inside, as they please. The sides hold their shape and give a rim to rest the head on, and the padded base makes the journey more comfortable than lying on the upholstery.
How the dog car seat is fastened
One adjustable strap goes around the headrest and another goes behind the seatback, so the seat does not slide when you brake or take a bend. Inside there is a short tether with a clip designed to attach to the ring on the dog's harness, never to the collar. It can go on the rear seats, which is the recommended place.
A washable, foldable dog seat for the car
After a trip to the countryside or the beach, the hair and sand stay in the seat and not on the upholstery. The cushion and cover come off for washing, and the outside wipes clean with a damp cloth. How should a dog travel in the car under traffic rules?
Traffic rules require the dog to be secured so it cannot move around the car or distract the driver. This seat gives it a comfortable spot, but does not secure it on its own: also use a suitable harness attached to an appropriate restraint system. Check the current guidance from the traffic authority.
Is this dog booster seat a safety system?
No. It is a comfort seat and it has not been crash-tested. The inner tether helps stop the dog jumping out of the seat during the journey, but it does not protect it in hard braking or an accident. For that you need a suitable car harness, attached correctly.
