Kimelis is a round-faced smartwatch that pairs with your phone to show message and call alerts on your wrist. It has the look of a traditional watch, in grey, and comes with a second strap and a pair of wireless earbuds. It is for anyone who wants to check their phone less without giving up a stylish watch.
A round smartwatch with a classic look
The round case and grey tones let it pass for a traditional watch with a shirt, at the office or at the weekend. In the app you can choose between several watch faces, from plain ones with hands to others with more information on view. The spare strap in a different material lets you change style in a moment, with no tools.
A smartwatch with calls and phone alerts
With the watch paired over Bluetooth, a vibration lets you know about messages, calls and notifications from the apps you choose. You can read the text on the screen and, with the watch's microphone and speaker, answer a call without taking your phone out of your pocket, which is handy when your hands are full. Calls always go through the phone: the watch has no SIM card.
It also works as a remote for your phone's music player and camera, and has alarms, a stopwatch and the weather forecast. The exact list of functions and the Bluetooth version are in the specifications table.
A smartwatch with wireless earbuds included
The box contains a pair of Bluetooth earbuds with their charging case, for listening to music or talking on the phone more privately than through the watch speaker. They pair with your phone like any wireless earbuds. With the watch, the spare strap and the earbuds, it is a complete present that needs nothing else.
How to use it
Charge the watch
Place the watch on its magnetic charger and leave it until the screen shows it is fully charged.
Install the app
Download the app named in the manual onto your phone, from the Android or iPhone app store.
Pair over Bluetooth
Turn on Bluetooth and link the watch from the app, not from the phone's settings, and accept the notification permissions.
Personalise it
Choose the watch face, which apps can send you alerts and how the watch vibrates.
Care and maintenance
Clean the screen and case with a soft, slightly damp cloth, and dry the charging contacts well before connecting it. The silicone strap can be washed with water and a little soap; the mesh one with a cloth alone. Avoid long spells in direct sun, the sauna and chemicals such as perfume or creams on the screen.
Frequently asked questions
Is the smartwatch compatible with iPhone and Android?
It works with Android phones and iPhones through the manufacturer's app; the minimum system versions are listed in the specifications table. With an iPhone, some functions, such as replying to messages from the watch, may be more limited because of the system's own restrictions. Check your phone's version before you buy.
Can you make calls from the smartwatch without the phone?
No. The watch has no SIM card: calls go through the phone, which needs to be nearby and connected over Bluetooth. What the watch does is let you answer, hang up and talk using its microphone and speaker without taking your phone out. If you move too far from the phone, the connection drops.
Can the smartwatch get wet?
It copes with splashes, rain and washing your hands, according to the protection rating shown in the specifications table. It is not made for swimming, diving, hot showers or the sauna, because water under pressure or steam can get into the case. The earbuds should not get wet.
How long does the watch battery last?
The approximate battery life with typical use is in the specifications table. It depends a great deal on how you use it: high brightness, lots of notifications a day and calls through the watch use more battery. Lowering the brightness and choosing just the apps you really want alerts from helps it last longer.
Does it measure heart rate, blood pressure or sleep?
We do not sell it for that. It is a watch for receiving alerts and calls from your phone, not a medical device, and it should not be used to monitor your health or to make decisions about it. If you need to check your pulse or blood pressure, use a certified medical device and follow your doctor's advice.
Is it a good smartwatch to give as a present?
It comes complete: the watch, a second strap and wireless earbuds in the same box, with nothing extra to buy. Its classic round look makes it easy to wear every day. You just need to check that the recipient's phone is compatible, according to the specifications table.
