Nomelen is an anti-theft sling bag: a compact backpack on a single padded strap, worn across the chest or on the back. It is made for people who get around the city by underground or bus, travel or go out with just the essentials, and want their wallet, keys and phone close to the body. The main zip closes with a small built-in combination lock, and an external USB port lets you charge your phone from a power bank kept inside.
A sling bag with a combination lock on the zip
The lock is sewn onto the bag itself, next to the main zip. To close it, slot the zip pull into the lock and spin the dials: until you enter your combination, the zip will not slide. There is no key and no separate padlock to lose. This makes it harder for someone to open your zip unnoticed in a packed carriage or a queue, which is exactly what a pickpocket is after.

The strap, wide and padded, crosses the torso diagonally and adjusts in length. In crowded places you can swing the bag round to your chest, where you can see and feel it; walking or cycling, you slide it onto your back without taking it off. A sling bag with a USB port to charge your phone without opening it
On one side there is a USB port connected to a cable on the inside. Plug your power bank into that cable, leave it in its pocket and connect your phone on the outside with its usual cable: it charges as you walk and the bag stays locked. The power bank is not included, and the port supplies no power by itself: it is an extension lead that passes through the fabric.

Arrange the contents
Put your wallet and keys in the inner pockets and keep what you use most within reach.
Close and lock
Pull the zip shut, slot the zip pull into the lock and scramble the dials.
Adjust the strap
Set the length so the bag sits snug, and swing it round to your chest in busy places.
Care and maintenance
- Wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap; do not put it in the washing machine or the tumble dryer.
- If it gets wet, empty it and let it dry open, in the shade.
- Take the power bank out and unplug the cable before cleaning, and do not use the USB port while it is wet.
- Write your combination down somewhere safe, away from the bag.

How do I set the lock combination?
The bag arrives with a factory combination and with instructions for changing it. With the lock open, follow those steps to set your own code; the exact procedure depends on the mechanism. Choose one you will remember that is not obvious, and try it a couple of times with the bag empty before leaving home.
Does the sling bag with USB port include a battery?
No. The external USB port is joined to a cable that stays inside the bag; that is where you connect your own power bank, bought separately. On the outside you plug in your phone with its usual cable. Charging speed depends on your power bank and your cable, not on the bag, which simply passes the connection through.
Is this anti-theft sling backpack waterproof?
It is not waterproof. The outer fabric is water-repellent: splashes and a few drops run off and give you time to get under cover. In heavy or prolonged rain, water eventually gets in through the zips and seams. If you are carrying electronics and the weather looks bad, put them in a sealed pouch inside the bag.
Will a tablet or a laptop fit?
A small tablet fits in the inner pocket, along with your wallet, keys, phone and a power bank. The maximum tablet size is given in the specifications table; compare it with the measurements of yours, case included. A laptop will not fit: for that you need a two-strap backpack with a padded compartment.
Can it be worn on either shoulder?
It is worn crossbody, with the strap over one shoulder and the bag on your chest or your back. Whether the strap can be switched to rest on the other shoulder depends on the model, and it is stated in the specifications table. Either way, the length adjusts so it sits snug against your torso, with or without a coat.
Does an anti-theft chest bag really protect your things?
It makes things harder, which is not the same as preventing a theft. The lock stops the zip from sliding without the combination and, worn in front, the bag stays in sight and under your arm. It does not protect against a snatch or against someone cutting the fabric. You still need to stay alert in crowded places.
