Read the full description

Norisia is a rechargeable portable shower: a small battery pump that goes into a bucket, a tub or an open water container, and a hose that carries the water to a handheld shower head. You press the button and the water comes out of the shower head. It is meant for when there is no shower to hand: camping, the caravan, the beach, the garden or the patio where you wash the dog.

A battery portable shower: no socket and no water point

The pump runs on a battery, so you need no socket nearby while you use it and no pressurised water point. All you need is a container of clean water. When the battery runs down, you recharge it with the cable included from a charger, a power bank or the car.

Bear in mind that it does not heat the water: it comes out at whatever temperature the bucket is. If you want warm water, mix hot and cold water in the bucket and check the temperature with your hand before you use it.

A portable shower for camping and caravans

At the campsite or in the caravan, it gives you a quick shower next to the tent, rinses off the sand when you get back from the beach or washes the pots with a steady stream. The suction hook lets you hang the shower head on the car door, a window or any smooth surface, so you have both hands free.

A portable shower for dogs, the garden and bikes

To wash the dog in the garden or on the terrace, the handheld spray reaches the paws and belly without having to drag out the garden hose. It also works for rinsing the bike, fishing or surf gear, or for watering the balcony pots with any water left over.

How to use the rechargeable portable shower

  1. Charge the battery

Charge it fully before you set off, with the pump dry and out of the water.

  2. Prepare the water

Fill a bucket with clean water and, if you mix in hot water, check the temperature with your hand.

  3. Put the pump in the water

Place the pump at the bottom of the bucket, with the suction cup on its base pressed down, and hang the shower head up or hold it.

  4. Switch on and shower

Press the button to start the water and switch it off before the bucket empties completely.

Care and maintenance

When you finish, take the pump out of the bucket, run a little clean water through it if you used it with sand or mud, dry it with a cloth and let the hose drain. Close the charging port cover properly before putting it in the water. Store it dry in its bag and, if you are not going to use it for a season, charge it from time to time to look after the battery.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the portable shower battery last?

The approximate running time and charging time are listed in the specifications on this page. In practice they depend on use: a quick shower uses little battery, while washing a big dog or rinsing the whole family's gear uses more. Charge it fully before setting off on a trip.

Does the portable shower heat the water?

No. The water comes out at whatever temperature it is in the bucket. If you want warm water, mix hot and cold water in the bucket, stir and check the temperature with your hand before using it. Do not exceed the maximum temperature given in the specifications, as it could damage the pump.

Does it work as a portable shower for dogs?

Yes, it is one of its most practical uses. With a bucket of warm water you can rinse the dog in the garden, on the terrace or when you get back from the beach, without getting out the garden hose. Check the water temperature with your hand beforehand and start with the paws so the animal gets used to it.

What container do I need to use it?

Any bucket, tub, open drum or wide-necked container that the pump fits into and that holds enough clean water to cover it. The container is not included. The bigger it is, the longer you can shower without refilling it. Switch the pump off before the water runs out completely.

Can it be used as a portable shower for a caravan or motorhome?

Yes. It takes up little space, travels in its bag and does not need to be connected to the vehicle's plumbing: a bucket of clean water is enough. You can hang the shower head with the suction hook on the door or a window and shower outside. Recharge it from a power bank or the car charger between uses.

How is the rechargeable portable shower charged?

With the cable included, connected to a phone charger, a power bank or the car's port. Before charging, take it out of the water, dry it well and check that the port is dry. When you finish, close the rubber cover properly. The type of connection and the charging time are in the specifications.
