Read the full description

Revelo is an electric bathroom scrubber that you hold in one hand. Its white body is bent into an L: at one end, the grip with its button; at the other, a round head that spins when you switch it on. It is for anyone who cleans the bathroom every week and always leaves the same places undone: the grout between the tiles, the base of the taps, the corners of the shower screen and the edge of the bath.

A spin scrubber for cleaning the bathroom, corner by corner

The corners of a bathroom are narrow and make you scrub with your fingertips. With the scrubber, you rest the head on the spot and guide it slowly while it spins. The bend of the L keeps your hand away from the surface, so you do not scrape your knuckles on the tiles.

It works well on the grout between tiles, on the joint between the washbasin and the worktop, around the plughole and in the tracks and corners of the shower screen, where water sits and leaves a mark.

Three heads: stiff bristles, sponge and soft cloth

The three heads push on and pull off by hand, with no tools. The stiff plastic-bristle head scrubs the hardest: use it on grout, tiles and the shower tray. The sponge head spreads the soap and follows the curves of the bath and the washbasin. The soft cloth head is for going gently over taps, chrome and glass.

A cordless handheld electric scrubber with a single button

There is no cable while you clean. It has a built-in battery that recharges with the USB cable in the box, from a phone charger or any USB socket. It has one on/off button and nothing else: there are no modes to learn.

The body is made to cope with splashes and with working on wet surfaces, which is normal in a bathroom. It is not submersible: do not put it in a full bath or in a bucket of water.

In the kitchen too: hob, sink and pans

Outside the bathroom, the same tool goes over the hob, the sink and the bottoms of pots and pans. Wash the head well with soap before moving from the bathroom to the kitchen and, on delicate surfaces such as a ceramic hob or a non-stick coating, start with the sponge or the cloth.

How to use the electric bathroom scrubber

  1. Give it a full charge

Plug in the USB cable until the battery is full and remove it before you start.

  2. Fit the head

Bristles, sponge or cloth, depending on what you are going to clean. Push it onto the shaft until you feel it engage.

  3. Prepare the area

Wet it with water or put a little of your everyday cleaner straight onto the head.

  4. Rest it and switch on

Place the head on the surface, press the button and work round the corner without hurrying. The weight of your hand is enough; if you lean on it, the motor slows down.

  5. Finish with water

Switch it off, run water or a cloth over the area to take away what has come loose and wash the head under the tap.

Care and maintenance

The heads are washed on their own: take them off the tool, rinse them and let them air dry; the sponge and the cloth take longer than the bristles, so do not put them away damp. Wipe the body with a rag and dry it, especially around the charging port, before plugging it in. Between uses you can hang it on its adhesive hook, which grips best on smooth, clean, dry tiles. When the bristles splay or the sponge starts to break up, that head no longer scrubs as it did and it is time to retire it.

Frequently asked questions

Does the electric scrubber work on bathroom grout?

Yes, and that is where you appreciate it most. Use the stiff-bristle head, tilted so the bristles get into the groove, with the grout wet and a little cleaner. Work along one stretch at a time and wipe with a cloth. If the grout has been blackened for years, it may get lighter, but it does not always come back white.

Which head should I use on the shower screen and the taps?

For the glass of the shower screen and for the taps, start with the soft cloth or the sponge and soapy water, which are the gentlest. Keep the stiff bristles for the tracks, the corners and the grout, where more scrubbing is needed. On chrome and treated glass, test beforehand on a spot that is out of sight.

Can I use the scrubber in a wet bathroom or under the shower?

It can work with splashes and on wet surfaces, so you can use it on the shower tray or in a bath you have just rinsed. It is not submersible: do not put it under water or leave it at the bottom of a full bath. The heads, once taken off, can be rinsed under the tap.

How is this cordless handheld scrubber charged?

With the USB cable that comes in the box, connected to a phone charger, a computer or a power strip with a USB socket. The box does not include a wall adapter. How long a charge lasts and how long it takes to complete are in the specifications table. Before plugging it in, check that the charging port is dry.

Which cleaners can I use with the spin scrubber in the bathroom?

The ones you already have at home for the bathroom: a little cleaning gel, soap or diluted washing-up liquid. A small amount is enough, because the head spreads it as it spins. Use one product at a time and never combine bleach with ammonia or with limescale remover. If the cleaner is strong, wear gloves and rinse the head when you finish.

Can it scratch the bath, the hob or the pans?

It depends on the head. With the sponge or the soft cloth the risk is low on almost any bathroom or kitchen surface. Keep the stiff bristles for tiles, grout and ceramic ware; do not use them on acrylic baths, ceramic hobs, polished steel or non-stick coatings. If in doubt, do a small test where it will not show.
