Read the full description
Bomelen is a mini cordless blower: a compact body you hold in one hand, with a small high-speed fan inside that sends a narrow stream of air out of the nozzle. It has no cable and no petrol engine; it charges with its cable and is ready as soon as you switch it on. It is for anyone who wants to clear leaves and dust off a balcony or a small terrace, clean the workbench or dry the car and the motorbike after washing them, without getting out a large blower.
A small cordless blower that fits in one hand
It is about the size of a large torch, so it stores in a drawer, in the toolbox or in the glovebox. The battery is built into the body and recharges with the cable in the box. It has several speeds: start with the gentlest for fine dust and go up when you need to move dry leaves or water drops.
A blower for drying the car and the motorbike
After you wash the car, water sits in the mirrors, grilles, badges and the gaps in the wheels, and later runs out and leaves marks. With the air stream you blow it out of those corners before you go over the car with a microfibre cloth. On a motorbike it works on the fairing, the controls and the engine area once it has cooled.
A small leaf blower for the balcony, terrace and workshop
On a balcony or a small terrace it gathers dry leaves and dust into a corner so you can pick them up with a dustpan. In the workshop it clears sawdust off the bench, shavings off a tool or dust out of a grille. Indoors it helps with the dust in a keyboard or a radiator grille.
How to use the mini cordless blower
Charge it
Connect the charging cable until the indicator shows a full battery, then unplug it.
Prepare the area
Check that there are no people, animals or loose objects in front of you and put on eye protection.
Hold it firmly
Grip it with your whole hand, without covering the air intake, and point it at the ground or the surface.
Start gently
Switch on at the lowest speed and go up when needed, always moving the air in the same direction.
Switch off and let it stop
Switch it off and wait for the fan to stop spinning before you put it down.
Care and maintenance
Before cleaning it, switch it off and disconnect the charging cable. Remove dust from the intake grille with a dry brush and wipe the outside with a cloth; do not wet it or push anything through the grilles. Do not use it in the rain or to blow standing water. Keep it somewhere dry and cool and recharge it now and then even when you are not using it, to look after the battery.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work as a leaf blower for the garden?
Not for a whole garden. It is a small leaf blower, intended for balconies, terraces, front steps or a corner of the patio. It moves dry leaves and dust well in small areas, but it struggles with wet leaves, lawns and large piles, which call for a garden blower.
Can it be used as a blower to dry the car?
Yes, especially for the corners: mirrors, grilles, badges, door seals and wheels. On large panels it is quicker to finish with a microfibre cloth. Use it on a car that has already been rinsed, so you do not blow grit against the paintwork.
How long does the battery last and how is it charged?
It charges with the cable that comes in the box; the running time and the charging time are listed in the specifications. The battery lasts much less at the highest speed than at the lowest, so for longer jobs it is best to use just the speed you need and take breaks.
Is this portable turbo fan noisy?
Yes, like any high-speed fan: its sound is high-pitched and more noticeable at top speed. For long use, wear hearing protection. If you use it on a balcony or a terrace, follow your local and building rules on noise and quiet hours.
Can I clean the dust out of a computer or a keyboard?
Yes, with the device switched off and unplugged, and from some distance. If you blow inside a computer, hold its internal fans still with a finger so the air does not spin them. Do it outdoors or next to an open window, as the dust flies out.
What precautions should I take when using it?
Wear eye protection and never point it at people, animals, faces or sockets. Do not cover the intake grille or bring fingers or hair close to it. Keep it away from children, do not use it near hot ash or flammable products, and switch it off and unplug it before cleaning.
