Read the full description

Lulenen is a cordless electric juicer for citrus fruit: a white base holding the motor and the battery, a cone that spins, a strainer and a clear collector with a spout for pouring. It recharges by USB, so it does not need a socket next to it. It is made for anyone who wants an orange juice in the morning or a squeeze of lemon for cooking without setting up a big appliance or wearing out their wrist on a manual squeezer.

A cordless juicer that recharges by USB

The battery is inside the base, so you use it wherever suits you: on the worktop, at the breakfast table, on the terrace or in the camper van. When it runs down, you connect it with the USB cable supplied to a phone charger, a computer or a power bank. The battery capacity, the charging time and the approximate number of juices per charge are listed in the specifications table.

An electric orange juicer: the cone turns and you hold the fruit

You cut the orange in half, rest it on the cone and press down with your hand. The motor spins the cone and the flesh is emptied out without you having to twist your wrist. No strength is needed: gentle, steady pressure is enough, and if you press too hard the cone slows down. To get the last of the juice from the edges, tilt the half a little to each side.

A strainer for pips and pulp, and a spout for pouring into the glass

Under the cone there is a slotted strainer that lets the juice through and holds back the pips and the coarser pulp. The juice drops into the clear collector and comes out of the spout towards the glass. The clear lid covers everything when you put it away and keeps the dust off in the cupboard.

A portable citrus juicer for lemons, limes, mandarins and grapefruit

As well as oranges, it juices lemons and limes for dressings, lemonade or baking, and mandarins and grapefruit too. Small fruit such as limes can be held by the peel with your fingertips; if a piece is wider than the cone, move it around so the cone reaches every segment. It is a citrus juicer: it does not blend or extract, so for strawberries, apples or carrots you need a blender or a juice extractor.

How to use it

  1. Charge it

Connect the USB cable to the base and let the battery charge fully before you start using it.

  2. Cut the fruit

Cut each piece in half across the middle, so that the segments are showing.

  3. Press the button and squeeze

Press the button on the base and push the half onto the cone with gentle pressure, tilting it a little to finish the edges.

  4. Pour

The juice passes through the strainer and comes out of the spout: pour it into the glass and drink it freshly made.

  5. Empty the strainer

Throw away the pips and pulp left in the strainer and rinse the parts before the residue dries on.

Cleaning and maintenance

The cone, the strainer, the collector and the lid lift off the base and are washed with warm water and a little washing-up liquid; if you rinse them as soon as you finish, the pulp comes away by itself. The base, with the motor and the battery, must never get wet: wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it. Let all the parts dry before putting it back together and, if you store it for a while, recharge the battery now and then so it does not run completely flat.

Frequently asked questions

How many juices does a USB rechargeable juicer make on one charge?

It depends on the size of the fruit and how ripe it is: a soft juicing orange asks less of the motor than a large grapefruit. The approximate figure for this model is in the specifications table. So that it does not stop halfway through, recharge it when you notice the cone turning with less force.

Does this electric orange juicer also work for lemons and grapefruit?

Yes. It works for oranges, lemons, limes, mandarins and grapefruit, always cut in half. If the fruit is wider than the cone, as some grapefruit are, move it a little from side to side so the cone reaches every segment. It is not designed for fruit other than citrus: it does not blend or extract juice from whole pieces.

Do you have to press the fruit hard onto the cone?

No. The motor does the work, so gentle, steady pressure with the palm of your hand is enough. If you press very hard, the cone slows down or stops and the battery runs down sooner. When the half is nearly empty, tilt it to each side to make use of the flesh stuck to the peel.

Can a cordless juicer be used while it is charging?

The most convenient way is to charge it beforehand and use it unplugged, which is what the battery is for: that way there are no cables near the juice and the charging port stays dry. If the battery runs out halfway through, let it charge for a while and carry on afterwards. The instructions in the box explain how it behaves while charging.

Can the parts of the juicer go in the dishwasher?

We recommend washing them by hand. The cone, the strainer, the collector and the lid lift off the base and are clean in a moment with warm water and washing-up liquid, especially if you rinse them straight after juicing. The heat of a dishwasher can warp or cloud clear plastic. The motor base must never get wet.

What charger does this electric juicer for lemons and oranges need?

A USB cable comes in the box. You plug it into a phone charger, a computer's USB port or a power bank; the mains adapter is not included. The type of connector on the base and the approximate charging time are listed in the specifications table. Always charge it with the base dry.
