Sevineo is a compact cordless electric screwdriver with a rechargeable battery and a handle that folds so you can use it straight or as a pistol grip. It takes on the repetitive work of driving and removing screws, and saves your wrist when you assemble flat-pack furniture, change the hinges on a wardrobe or put up a shelf. It is made for anyone who does small jobs at home and wants something quicker than a hand screwdriver without going up to the size of a drill.

Pistol grip or straight screwdriver: the handle folds

In the straight position it is slim and long, like a classic screwdriver, and reaches into gaps where your hand will not fit, such as the inside of a cabinet or behind an appliance. Fold it and the handle becomes a pistol grip: you push with your palm in line with the screw and the trigger sits under your finger, which is more comfortable when there are many screws in a row or the surface is at eye level.

An electric screwdriver for assembling furniture and hanging things

A button switches the direction of rotation, so the same movement drives and removes screws. The light at the tip comes on as you work and lights up the screw inside a drawer or in the corner of a wardrobe. It is a tool for screws in wood, chipboard and furniture fittings; for long screws in hardwood or for making holes in the wall, you need a drill.

A USB-rechargeable electric screwdriver

The battery is built in and charges with the USB cable in the box, from a phone charger or a computer. There is no cable while you work, so you can take it from room to room or up a stepladder without looking for a socket. The interchangeable bits fit into the bit holder and change by hand. Battery, power and charging details are in the specifications table.

How to use it

  1. Charge the battery

Before using it for the initial time, charge it fully with the USB cable and read the manufacturer's manual.

  2. Choose the bit

Fit the bit that sits snugly in the screw head; a bit that is too small or worn damages it.

  3. Choose direction and position

Select drive or remove with the button and set the handle straight or as a pistol grip.

  4. Drive without forcing

Set the bit straight on the screw, push gently and press the trigger. Let go when the head reaches the surface.

  5. Finish by hand if needed

For screws that need extra tightening or in soft boards, finish with a hand screwdriver so you do not strip the thread.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the body with a dry cloth and clear sawdust from the bit holder. Do not get it wet or use it with damp hands. Store it somewhere dry, away from direct heat, and if you are not going to use it for a while, leave the battery with some charge and top it up now and then. Replace the bits when they become rounded.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an electric screwdriver and a drill?

An electric screwdriver like this one turns slowly and is designed to drive and remove screws with control, without stripping the thread. A drill turns much faster and has more force for making holes in walls, hardwood or metal. For furniture assembly and small jobs the screwdriver is enough; to drill into a wall you need a drill.

Is it suitable for assembling flat-pack furniture?

Yes, it is one of its main uses. It drives the screws for fittings, hinges and handles in chipboard and wood. Take care on the last turn: in soft boards it is best to release the trigger when the head reaches the surface and, if needed, finish by hand so you do not damage the hole.

How do you charge the rechargeable electric screwdriver?

With the USB cable included, plugged into a phone charger, a computer or a power bank. The connector type, battery capacity and charging time are listed in the specifications table. Before using it for the initial time, charge it fully and follow the instructions in the manual.

When should I use the pistol grip and when the straight position?

In the straight position it is slimmer and reaches into small gaps, inside cabinets or between parts. As a pistol grip you push with your palm in line with the screw, which is more comfortable for many screws in a row, when working at eye level or when you need to keep the bit well seated.

What protection should I wear with a small electric screwdriver?

Safety glasses, especially when working overhead or when shavings fly, and close-fitting work gloves when handling fittings or parts with sharp edges. Read the manual before using it for the initial time, check that no cables or pipes run behind a wall before screwing into it, and keep it out of the reach of children.
