Read the full description
Dadala is a cordless portable cup blender that charges over USB. The base holds the motor and a set of steel blades, and on top screws the cup you blend in and then drink from. It makes a fruit shake, an iced coffee, chocolate milk or pancake batter in a moment, and it is made for anyone who wants to do it one serving at a time, at home, at the office or out and about.
A rechargeable portable blender: no cable and no socket nearby
The battery sits inside the base and charges with a USB cable, from a computer, a phone charger or a power bank. Once charged, the blender works without a cable, so you can use it on your office desk, in a holiday flat or in a small kitchen with no free sockets. An indicator tells you when it is time to charge it.
A USB cup blender: blend and drink from the same container
There is no need to pour anything into another container. You put the ingredients in the cup, blend, take off the blending lid or fit the travel lid, and drink straight away. If you are having it later, close the cup and carry it in your backpack. Fewer things to wash and nothing to pour across.
A mini blender for shakes, iced coffee and light batters
It works best with small pieces and some liquid: chopped fruit with milk, yoghurt or a plant-based drink, coffee with ice, cocoa powder with milk, or the egg, flour and milk mix for pancakes. If you want to add ice or frozen fruit, check in the specifications what this model can take, cut it into small pieces and always put liquid in the cup.
A portable blender that is easy to clean
For everyday cleaning you do not need to remove the blades: fill the cup halfway with warm water and a drop of washing-up liquid, blend for a few seconds, empty and rinse. The lid and the cup come off the base and are washed by hand. The base with the motor must never go under water.
How to use it
Charge the battery
Before using it for the initial time, connect the base to the USB cable until the indicator shows charging has finished.
Add the ingredients
Pour in the liquid to begin with, then the fruit or solids in small pieces, without going over the fill line.
Close and blend
Screw the cup and the lid on firmly, press the button and let it blend until the mixture is smooth.
Drink it or take it with you
Drink straight from the cup or close it with its lid for later.
Cleaning and maintenance
Wash it straight after use, before leftovers dry around the blades. Dry the base and the charging contact well before plugging it in again. Check the rubber seal on the lid and the cup from time to time: if it is not seated properly, the cup may drip. If you are not going to use it for weeks, store it with some battery charge.
Frequently asked questions
Does a portable blender work well with ice?
A portable blender has less power than a full-size jug blender, so ice and frozen fruit blend better in small pieces and with enough liquid. What this model can take is listed in the specifications. If you notice the motor slowing down, stop, add liquid and start again.
How many shakes can you make on one charge?
It depends on what you blend: a liquid mix uses less battery than one with ice or frozen fruit. The approximate number of cycles per charge and the charging time are in the specifications. When the indicator tells you, charge it with the USB cable and a phone charger.
How do you clean a portable blender?
Fill the cup halfway with warm water and a drop of washing-up liquid, blend for a few seconds, empty and rinse. The lid and the cup are washed by hand. The base with the motor and blades must not go under water: wipe the outside with a damp cloth and dry it before charging.
Is a portable blender the same as a juicer?
No. A citrus juicer squeezes out the juice and leaves the peel and pulp behind. This blender breaks down whatever you put in the cup, pulp included, and mixes it with the liquid. For a classic orange juice you need a juicer; for a shake with fruit and milk, the blender.
Can you blend hot drinks?
No. Blending a hot liquid in a closed cup builds up pressure, and when you open it the liquid can spurt out and burn you. Let coffee or milk cool to room temperature before blending, or make the drink cold from the start.
Does it work while it is charging?
Blenders of this kind usually do not start while connected to the cable, and that is the sensible way to use them. Charge it beforehand, unplug it and then use it. Check the manual for your unit, which explains how the indicator shows that charging has finished.
