Fivino is a handheld window cleaner that combines three things in one: a sprayer with its tank inside the handle, a microfibre side for wiping and a rubber squeegee for drawing the water off. It is designed for everyday glass cleaning at home, such as windows from the inside, mirrors, shower screens or the glass door to the living room, for anyone tired of holding a spray bottle in one hand and a cloth in the other.

A 3-in-1 window cleaner: spray, wipe and dry with one hand

You fill the tank with water or your diluted glass cleaner and screw it into the handle. When you press the trigger, a fine mist lands on the glass just in front of the tool.

Without letting go, you wipe with the microfibre side to loosen dust, fingerprints and splashes, then turn it round to use the squeegee. Your other hand stays free to steady yourself or hold the curtain back.

Window squeegee: how to clean glass without leaving streaks

Streaks usually appear when water dries by itself on the glass. The rubber squeegee takes it off first: you set the edge at the top, draw it down in straight, slightly overlapping strokes and wipe the blade with a cloth between strokes. With little liquid and a clean blade, the finish improves a great deal.

For cleaning shower screens, mirrors and glass doors

On the shower screen, after you shower, a quick pass with the squeegee removes the drops before they dry. Once a week, spray your usual cleaner, wipe with the microfibre and run the squeegee over it again.

On mirrors and glass doors the tool is small enough to handle close to frames, taps and door handles.

How to use the spray window cleaner

  1. Fill the tank

Unscrew the tank, add water or your glass cleaner diluted as its label says and screw it back in.

  2. Spray lightly

Two or three presses are enough for a section of glass. With too much liquid it is harder to leave it dry.

  3. Wipe with the microfibre

Move the microfibre side in circles to loosen dirt and fingerprints.

  4. Dry with the squeegee

Turn it round and work from top to bottom in straight strokes. Wipe the rubber edge with a cloth between strokes.

Care and maintenance

When you finish, empty the tank or leave just clean water in it, and press the trigger a couple of times so no product stays in the nozzle. Take off the microfibre cover, wash it without fabric softener and let it air dry. Rinse the squeegee and dry it; if the rubber edge gets nicked or hardens, replace it.

Frequently asked questions

What liquid goes in the window cleaner tank?

Water alone for dust and drops, or water with a little of your usual glass cleaner diluted as its label says for grease and fingerprints. A dash of vinegar in water is another common option. Do not use abrasive products, bleach or solvents, which can damage the sprayer and the rubber.

How do I clean glass without leaving streaks with the squeegee?

Use little liquid, clean in the shade and draw the squeegee from top to bottom in straight, slightly overlapping strokes. Wipe the rubber edge with a cloth between strokes and go over the corners with the dry microfibre. If the rubber is nicked, it leaves lines of water: replace it.

Can I use it to clean the shower screen every day?

Yes. After you shower, just run the squeegee over it to remove the drops before they dry; that way fewer dried water marks are left on the glass. Once a week, spray your diluted bathroom cleaner, wipe with the microfibre and run the squeegee over it again.

Can I use it to clean the outside of windows?

Just on the part of the glass you can comfortably reach, such as ground-floor windows, terrace doors or a pane that tilts inwards. It is a hand tool: do not lean out or climb onto the sill to reach the outside of fixed or high windows.

Can the microfibre covers go in the washing machine?

Yes. Take it off the tool, shake it out and wash it with ordinary detergent, without fabric softener or bleach, which make microfibre less absorbent and can leave marks on glass. Let it air dry before fitting it again and alternate with the spare cover if you have one.
