Lunoren is a furniture lifter with wheels: a kit made up of a steel lever bar and four rolling bases that go under the corners of a piece of furniture. Use it to pull a wardrobe away from the wall, slide the fridge out of its gap or turn a sofa around without having to carry it. It is made for anyone who rearranges the house now and then, deep-cleans, decorates or moves home, and would rather do it calmly and with less effort.

Furniture lifter with a steel lever bar

Lifting the corner of a full wardrobe by hand is the hardest part of moving it. The lever takes care of that step: its flat tip slips into the gap between the furniture and the floor and, as you press the handle down, the corner rises just enough to slide a base underneath.

Because you are working with leverage, the force you apply is smaller than the weight you lift. One hand on the handle is enough; the other stays free to place the base.

Wheels for moving heavy furniture in any direction

Each base is a small wheeled platform that turns 360 degrees, so the furniture can travel straight, sideways or rotate on the spot. With the four bases under the corners the weight is spread out, and a gentle push is enough to get everything rolling.

The legs or corners rest on the top of each base. Before you push, check that all four are well centred: that is what keeps the furniture stable along the way.

A furniture mover for cleaning, decorating or rearranging

Dragging heavy furniture is hard work, noisy and can leave marks on the floor. Rolling on the bases, the furniture stops rubbing against the floor and moves with far less friction.

Use it to vacuum behind the sofa, reach the socket hidden by the chest of drawers, pull the washing machine out to check the connections or try a new layout for the living room. When you finish, the lever and the four bases fit in a drawer or in the toolbox.

How to move heavy furniture with the kit, step by step

  1. Prepare the furniture and the route

Empty drawers and shelves, close the doors and clear rugs, cables and objects out of the way. Sweep the floor so no grit ends up under the wheels.

  2. Lift a corner

Slip the tip of the lever under the edge of the furniture, near the corner, and press the handle down slowly until a gap opens.

  3. Place the base

With your other hand, slide a base under the corner or leg and release the lever little by little. Repeat at the other three corners.

  4. Push from low down

Put your hands on the lower or middle part of the furniture and push slowly. If it is tall, ask someone to steady it.

  5. Take the bases out

Once it is in its final place, lift each corner again with the lever and remove the bases one at a time.

Care and maintenance

After each use, wipe the wheels with a dry cloth and remove any hair, threads or grit caught in them: clean wheels turn better and are less likely to mark the floor. If the kit gets wet, dry it before putting it away so the steel does not rust. Keep everything together in a dry place and check now and then that the wheels turn freely and the bases have no cracks.

Frequently asked questions

What does the furniture moving kit include?

It includes a steel lever bar for lifting the corners and four swivel wheeled bases that go under the furniture. With those five pieces you can move a piece of furniture that rests on four supports. No tools or assembly are needed: you use it just as it arrives in the box.

How much weight can the furniture lifter with wheels take?

The maximum load is listed in the specifications on this page. To stay well below the limit, always empty drawers and shelves before moving the furniture and spread the weight across the four bases, one per corner. If you are unsure how much a piece weighs, it is better to ask for help than to force the kit.

Can it be used to move a fridge or a washing machine?

Yes, as long as the appliance has a stable base and its weight does not exceed the maximum load in the specifications. Unplug it beforehand, empty it and close the door properly. Move tall appliances slowly and, ideally, with a second person. When you finish, take the bases out: they are not meant to be left in place permanently.

Can it be used on parquet, laminate or carpet?

It works best on smooth, hard floors such as tiles, stoneware, parquet or laminate. Before using it, sweep the floor and clean the wheels, because a trapped bit of grit can leave a mark on a delicate floor. On thick carpets or uneven floors the wheels do not roll well and it is not recommended.

How can one person move heavy furniture alone?

With the lever in one hand you lift the corner and with the other you place the base, so many low pieces of furniture can be moved without help. Even so, with tall, narrow or very heavy wardrobes it is wise to have another person steady the furniture while you lift it and guide it as it rolls.

How much of a gap does the furniture need for the lever to fit?

The tip of the lever is flat and thin, designed to enter the narrow gap that usually remains between the plinth of the furniture and the floor. If the furniture sits completely flat and leaves no gap at all, tilt it slightly with the help of another person so you can insert the tip.
